Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Augusto Sakai have plenty flashy knockouts attached to their respective records.
Each heavyweight will look to bounce back into the win column tonight, and perhaps register their latest KO fireworks along the way, when Rozenstruik clashes with Sakai in the headliner of UFC Fight Night. It all goes down live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Rozenstruik has lost two of his last three fights and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Ciryl Gane in February, when he just appeared to be flat against the French heavyweight. Prior to that loss, Rozenstruik blasted Junior dos Santos via second-round knockout (punches) in August to rebound from a 20-second KO at the hands of current heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou back in May 2020.
A victory over the ninth-ranked Sakai could help propel No. 6 Rozenstruik closer to title contention in the heavyweight division. However, that shouldn't be easy, considering Sakai is also looking to return to the win column with a convincing victory himself.
The Brazilian fighter had his six-fight winning streak snapped by Alistair Overeem in September via fifth-round TKO (elbows and punches). Prior to that, four of his six victories within the win streak came by knockout.
Will Rozenstruik launch himself forward with a significant win or will Sakai have his hand raised, proving to be too tough of an out?
