Tony Khan confirms that huge AEW star has been pulled from AEW NJPW Forbidden Door 2 PPV due to illness

Adam Cole has been withdrawn from AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2 due to illness.  

The popular performer currently Iinvolved in an AEW world title feud with MJF had been scheduled to face Tom Lawlor, but that match is no longer taking place. 

Tony Khan, the top man at AEW, tweeted hours before the event that Cole will not be performing.  

In a post delivering the bad news, Khan wrote, “Due to illness, @AdamColePro isn't cleared tonight, therefore the Adam Cole vs @FilthyTomLawlor match is cancelled.  

“Despite the change, tonight will be an amazing show! Thank you to everyone watching #ForbiddenDoor, either here live in Toronto @ScotiabankArena or on PPV tonight!” 

The rest of the event is still scheduled to go ahead with planned with Kenny Omega defending his IWGP US title against Will Ospreay along with Bryan Danielson taking on Kazuchika Okada in an eagerly anticipated dream match.
