All 32 NFL teams currently hold their original first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but that may not remain the case for much longer.
With potentially franchise-defining talent available atop the draft order, the flurry of interest in the earliest selections comes as no surprise.
Cam Ward is widely expected to be the first player selected by the Tennessee Titans with the first overall pick, leaving players such as cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter and edge rusher Abdul Carter available with the second and third selections.
Identifying the teams interested in moving up is challenging because almost every franchise would benefit from adding Hunter or Carter. However, one team that could be in the mix is the New England Patriots, who currently own the fourth overall pick.
The Patriots did little to address their glaring needs at wide receiver in free agency, and they reportedly view Hunter not only the best receiver in the draft but also the best cornerback.
It would shock many if the Browns or Giants passed over prospects as gifted as Hunter or Carter by trading away their selections, but with both teams needing to strengthen their rosters in several areas, nothing can be ruled out.
Even if a deal doesn't materialise between now and the start of the first round of the draft on Thursday, April 24th, the possibility that we'll see a draft-night trade adds to the excitement.
The 2025 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 24 at 8pm on the East Coast / 1am Friday in the UK.
This year's NFL Draft will be available to watch for free on NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excluding the US and China).
