Heading into the final week of the NFL regular season, Cam Ward had been turning things around as of late. That momentum had gone into Sunday's Week 18 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it looks to have come crashing down, for now.
The first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft had just rushed for a seven-yard touchdown. When Ward landed in the end zone, he got hit in the shoulder by a Jaguars defender. He is out for the remainder of the game. Brandon Allen is in the game for the Titans.
It took a moment for Ward to get up, but he made it back to the Titans' sideline. Ward first went into the medical tent before walking back to the locker room with a member of the Titans' medical staff. Up until the hit, Ward had taken every snap under center this season.
Before leaving the game, Ward was 3 of 3 passing for 52 yards and also 11 yards rushing with the touchdown run.
This season, Ward threw for 3,117 yards with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. In his last five games, Ward had thrown eight touchdowns with just one INT and a passer rating of 90.8
