European League of Football (ELF): Week 6 can't-miss matchups and previews

We're only five games into the 2025 European League of Football (ELF) season, but the campaign has already been packed with pulsating drama, standout performances, and unforgettable moments.

As we look ahead to what Week 6 has in store, DAZN News shines the spotlight on the resurgent reigning champions, Rhein Fire, and charts the progress of the players to watch in what will undoubtedly be another cracking week of ELF action.

Game of the week: Defending ELF Champs Rhein Fire (2-2) travel to undefeated Vienna Vikings (4-0)

Rhein Fire made a statement last week, putting up 43 unanswered points in a commanding, one-sided win over the Hamburg Sea Devils. After a shaky start, Fire seems to be finding its rhythm, and the rest of the league is officially on alert.

Offensively, new running back Jonathan Scott had a breakout game, producing 135 rushing yards and two touchdowns despite only carrying the rock 11 times.

Impressive as the offense was last weekend, the German side's strength lies in its defensive dominance.

The unit is headlined by Congolese edge rusher Fry Mosquera, who ranks fourth among all ELF players with four sacks, and linebacker Marius Kensy, who is tied for fourth among all linebackers with 41 tackles.

Fire will need all of their stars to be at their best when they face the Vikings this weekend. The Austrian side is one of only two teams in the league that remain undefeated.

The Vikings will have fresh legs after their Week 5 bye and may have the psychological edge, having beaten Fire already once this season in a hard-fought defensive contest.

When two contenders collide with everything to play for, sparks fly. This must-watch showdown promises to be a fierce, down-to-the-wire battle.

What is ELF Game Pass?
