Patrick Mahomes continues to rack up the accolades, adding another Super Bowl title and MVP award to his name after leading the Kansas City City to a thrilling victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

At 28 years old, Mahomes is now a three-time Super Bowl champion and he's been named the MVP of the NFL's championship game three times.

As the leader of the reigning dynasty in the NFL, one would think that finding new motivation may be tough to come by for Mahomes.

Instead, he revealed that he's got something new driving him ahead of the next NFL campaign, which doesn't kick off until September.

After receiving his latest Super Bowl MVP award from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Mahomes spoke to assembled media. The quarterback was asked what it was like for his team to have been considered the underdogs throughout the playoffs, including against a 49ers team that Mahomes and Co. had defeated four years earlier at the same stage.

"As far as the underdog thing, man it just gives you a little added motivation going into the offseason," Mahomes said

"I never feel like we're underdogs. I believe we can win any game that we play in, but we have to continue to prove that every single year."
