The 2025 NFL regular season has yet to begin, but the race to win Super Bowl LX is well underway, and a handful of teams are already standing out as early favourites.

With stacked rosters, elite quarterbacks, and strong offseasons to bolster their 2025/26 outlook, the top contenders for the Vince Lombardi trophy in 2025/26 include many of the usual suspects.

DAZN News explores which team(s) are currently leading the race to win Super Bowl LX.

The favourites

The defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, are currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens as the joint favourites to win Super Bowl LX at 13/2 (odds correct as of July 29, 2025, at 4:30pm BST)

The case for the Philadelphia Eagles

It should come as no surprise that the Eagles are considered a top contender, considering how easily they dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

On offense, Philadelphia boasts Super Bowl MVP quarterback Jalen Hurts, record-setting running back Saquon Barkley, one of the league's best offensive lines, and dynamic receiving threats such as A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert.

On defense, the Eagles' defense combines talented youngsters such as defensive tackle Jalen Carter, defensive backs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, and rookie Jihaad Campbell with established veterans such as Zack Baun.

Philadelphia must endure some changes among the coaching ranks, as Kevin Patullo takes over from Kellen Moore as the offensive coordinator.

But crucially, head coach Nick Sirianni - who became the first head coach in NFL history to earn four postseason appearances, two conference titles, and a Super Bowl Championship in the first four years of their career - remains in situ, alongside defensive mastermind Vic Fangio, who will once again coordinate the defense.

The case for the Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens missed out on a spot in the Divisional Round after losing to the Buffalo Bills in what some may consider a cruel fashion.

Until that fateful day, they had enjoyed another excellent season, going 12-5, winning the AFC North, and beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-14 in the Wild Card Round.

Dynamic dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson is undoubtedly the star player on Baltimore's offense, but he has plenty of help with wide receiver Zay Flowers, tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, and bruising running back Derrick Henry, who seems to get better with age.

Defensively, the Ravens are a force to be reckoned with. Linebacker Roquan Smith and safety Kyle Hamilton are arguably the top two players in the league at their positions, and the additions of Malaki Starks and Mike Green in the 2025 NFL Draft could take this unit to new heights.

Long-time head coach John Harbaugh returns for his 16th season and will undoubtedly expect to add to his record of 12 winning seasons during his tenure.

The verdict

Only one team can win Super Bowl LX, and the likelihood is that it will be either the Eagles or Ravens. Of the two favourites, the Eagles could paper over their cracks at edge rusher more easily than the Ravens can with their apparent weakness on the interior of their offensive line.

But can we rule out the possibility that the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs' revenge tour won't spoil the party?

Or perhaps the Bills, spearheaded by reigning MVP Josh Allen, can finally take home the Vince Lombardi trophy in their fifth Super Bowl appearance?

There's only one way to find out. Follow all the action with NFL Game Pass as the drama unfolds.
