William Scull was content on moving around the ring in survival mode.
So Canelo Alvarez took what he gave him and blasted the Cuban to the body any chance he got.
The low-action affair was not pretty but it ended with Alvarez cruising to a unanimous decision win over Scull at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, exclusively on DAZN PPV worldwide . Judges scored it 115-113, 116-112 and 119-109 all in Alvarez' favor. DAZN News had it 119-109 for Alvarez.
The win made Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 KOs) the two-time super middleweight world champion as it was confirmed that he will face pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford on September 12 in Las Vegas. The two faced off in the ring when prompted by Turki Alalshikh following Alvarez' win.
Here is how the entire Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull pay-per-view main card went.
