Caroline Dubois pleads to British world champion to sign contract after huge stadium show

WBC women's lightweight champion Caroline Dubois has urged WBO titleholder Terri Harper to "get the fight signed" in a social media post. 

Dubois' comments came after Harper successfully defended her belt against Natalie Zimmermann in a huge homecoming at Doncaster's Eco-Power Stadium on Friday night. 

 

Speaking after beating Zimmermann in a one-sided contest by unanimous decision, Harper was hopeful about making a fight with Dubois next. 

“[Dubois] rubs me up the wrong way – she gets my fire burning,” Harper said.

“I hope that’s what comes next. I’ll wait and see if any contracts turn up over the next few weeks.”

With Harper and Dubois no stranger to verbal sparring, whether in person or virtually, it was no surprise that Dubois responded to Haper's call out on X. 

"Let's get the fight signed @TerriHarper96," Dubois wrote.

Dubois' latest defence of her belt took place in March when she beat Bo Mi Re Shin by majority decision in the co-main event of an all-women fight card at London's Royal Albert Hall.
