Johnson vs Hughes form and history

Johnson and Hughes will be going head-to-head for the WBA bantamweight title for a second time after first going head-to-head eight months ago.

On that occasion, it was Johnson who came out with a majority decision win, but it was one tainted with controversy.

After 10 hard-fought rounds, ring announcer Dan Hennessey declared Hughes the winner, however, Hennessey then realised he made an error and corrected himself, announcing Johnson as the winner.

There was no surprise that Hughes was left frustrated by what had transpired and has now got her wish in the form of a rematch.
