Watch Shields vs. Daniels - Saturday on DAZN

Claressa Shields returned to action on Saturday night as she defended her undisputed women's heavyweight title against Lani Daniels from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, live on DAZN .

Shields (17-0, 3 KOs) put on a show in her hometown state in front of over 15,000 fans, winning a lopsided decision over Daniels (100-90, 99-91, 99-91). DAZN News scored the fight 100-90 for Shields.

From the opening bell, the fight belonged to Shields. The 30-year-old had Daniels very reluctant to engage with her for the first seven rounds. Shields did whatever she wanted. First, she started to go upstairs and headhunt to try and get Daniels out of there. Then, at the insistence of her corner, Shields then started to go to the body, which proved to be the best plan of attack as she stunned Daniels on a couple of occasions.

In the last couple of rounds, Shields started fighting off the ropes and got Daniels to finally start engaging. Shields was all too happy to oblige and swing for the fences with her. Shields didn't get the finish she desired, but her undefeated record remains intact.

Who's next for Shields? Is it Laila Ali? A rematch with friend Franchon Crews-Dezurn? To Shields, everyone can come and get a crack at knocking her off the top of the mountain.

“Anybody can get it," Shields told DAZN's Claudia Trejos in her post-fight interview. "I always say that.

"But I want to make the biggest fights and the best fights."
