Daniel Dubois will bid to become world champion once again in 2026, says Frank Warren as the Briton plots his route back to the top.
The former IBF belt holder was dethroned in his undisputed heavyweight blockbuster with Oleksandr Usyk in July inside five rounds.
Since then, Dubois has been offered multiple options, and now appears poised for an IBF final eliminator with Cuban Frank Sanchez.
Queensberry Promotions boss Warren expects the fight to got ahead after negotiations, and will pave the way another title shot.
"We will sit down and obviously that's going to happen," he told Sky Sports. "He will come back in the new year and he will be in a big fight.
"He's only 28. That's a baby for a heavyweight. Look at his losses. To lose twice to Usyk is not the end of the world, being a young man.
"You've got to learn and he's got to step up. He's got to show everybody what he's all about. That's what he's got to do. We know he can punch.
"He's always in exciting fights and when you think about it in his last two fights back to back more people watched him live than any other fighter."
Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley fight on Saturday, October 25, to become the WBO mandatory challenger to Oleksandr Usyk. Watch the fight and undercard live and exclusive on DAZN PPV.
