On February 22, live on DAZN PPV , Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker will collide in the first heavyweight title fight of 2025.
The fight is part of a huge event that will also see Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol meet for a second time with light-heavyweight glory on the line.
For Dubois and Parker, this fight did not appear possible two years ago but here we are with the biggest prize up for grabs for both men.
Here, DAZN News looks at the fights that got us to this point.
Daniel Dubois was fighting to save his career when he met Jarrell Miller at the end of 2023.
The London heavyweight had recently been stopped by Oleksandr Usyk and some within the boxing industry believed he could not handle it at the highest level.
Despite losing to Usyk, Dubois appeared to have learnt so much from it as he overcame some tough moments against the brash American to score a final round stoppage.
Deontay Wilder only needed to defeat Joseph Parker to land a showdown with Anthony Joshua, but the popular New Zealander had other ideas.
One year on from his brutal loss to Joe Joyce, Parker, who some thought was finished at the top level, turned back the clock to register a points win following a career best performance .
Parker’s reward for defeating Wilder was a meeting with another huge puncher as he went in with Zhilei Zhang.
The Chinese heavyweight was in excellent form after stopping Joe Joyce twice, and he was able to floor Parker on two occasions.
Despite this success, Zhang could not maintain those attacks and Parker’s greater industry saw him claim victory on the scorecards.
The 5 v 5 blockbuster event that saw Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren finally go at it was dominated by the latter and that included Dubois demonstrating just how resilient he could be.
Dubois was caught several times in the early stages as he was rocked the Croat on several occasions.
Battling through the attacks, Dubois got on top and once there, he did not stop as he eventually registered an impressive stoppage in round eight.
In the biggest UK fight of 2024, Dubois finally proved that he was a major heavyweight star as he stopped Anthony Joshus inside a sold-out Wembley Stadium.
Dubois was a huge outsider going into the contest, but he proved his worth in the opening session when he dropped Joshua with a huge shot.
The former two-time world champion would hit the deck three more times before he was eventually counted out.
