Who are the bigs names on the David Benavidez-Zurdo Ramirez undercard?

There will be a huge amount of Mexican fans in Las Vegas for David Benavidez versus ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, and they will also get to see plenty of their compatriots on the undercard.

In an all-Mexican battle for the WBA super-middleweight belt, Jaime Munguia aims to become a two-weight champion against Jose Resendiz in a fascinating title fight.

After dropping a unanimous decision to ‘Canelo’ Alvarez two years ago, former super-welterweight champion Munguia (45-2) was then shockingly knocked out by Bruno Surace in a huge upset in December 2024.

Munguia gained revenge on Surace with a wide decision victory in the rematch last May and now gets another title shot against Resendiz.

Resendiz (16-2) sprang a surprise of his own when outpointing Caleb Plant in May 2025 and aims to claim another big scalp on his return to Las Vegas.

Oscar Duarte (30-2-1) has won four on the bounce since his defeat to Ryan Garcia in December 2023 and he faces Angel Barrera (23-4-2) in another all-Mexican dust-up.

Isaac Lucero (18-0) is making waves in the super-welterweight division and he puts his unbeaten record on the line against Alan Gutierrez (30-0-1).

The latter is yet to fight outside of Mexico but he is also unbeaten and this promises to be an all-action affair.
