<p>Jack Catterall and Arnold Barboza Jr. each felt like they did enough to win their close 12-round fight, live on DAZN.</p>

<p>But in the end, Barboza was credited for his volume punching over Catterall's well-timed lefts. All three judges inside Co-op Live in Manchester, England scored it 115-113 but two gave Barboza the nod as the Long Beach, California native won the interim WBO super lightweight title to force a fight with WBO world champion Teofimo Lopez.</p>

After 12 tight rounds, the judges score it 115-113 for Catterall, 115-113 for Barboza, and 115-113 for your winner by split-decision and the new interim WBO super lightweight titleholder ... Arnold Barboza Jr! Judges credited his volume and constant flow over Catterall's timed, power shots.

Both men having their moments halfway through this final round. Catterall opens up with a couple of right hands around the minute mark. Forty-five seconds remain. They exchange and land under the 30-second mark and are letting their hands go until the final bell. Barboza runs to the ropes and raises his hand, believing he has done enough to earn the win. The fighters then embrace, before their corners hoist each charge on their shoulders. This was a close fight with nip-and-tuck rounds for sure. (10-9 Catterall, 115-113 Catterall)

Catterall is fighting forward on Barboza but not capitalizing on shots that he perhaps he should be. A clipping right hand lands for Barboza late. (10-9 Barboza Jr, 105-104 Catterall)

Barboza is having some success with a straight right hand which has repeatedly found its mark due to an increase of tempo. He pieces  together a scraping combination. Catterall then drops Barboza with a left hand to the body but it is quickly ruled a slip! (10-9 Barboza Jr, 96-94 Catterall)

Catterall times a left hook really well, detonating it in traffic to brush Barboza back and draw a pop from the British crowd. Moments later, he connects with another left. In an exchange that follows, Barboza sneaks in a right hand. (10-9 Catterall, 87-84 Catterall)

Catterall gets warned for a late shot. Moments later, Barboza lands a one-two combination that splits Catterall's guard. Then, the Long Beach, California native unloads a quick right hand in traffic to brush Catterall back. (10-9 Barboza Jr, 67-66 Catterall)

Catterall is looking sharp with his power shots as a right hand lands early and a counter left connects with under a minute. But he is not capitalizing on this output. Barboza scores with a flurry late. Still, Catterall is gaining steam at the halfway point. (10-9 Catterall, 58-56 Catterall)

The fighters' feet are getting tangled up more frequently as they battle for ring real estate. Barboza remains the busier boxer while Catterall looks to unload the big punch. Catterall does land a left hook which lands flush, definitely making Barboza respect his power. (10-9 Catterall, 48-47 Catterall)

Catterall is sharp with his counter lefts. The exchanges are picking up this round with both men having their moments. Catterall lands a counter left but Barboza and his fast hands connect during the waning seconds. (10-9 Barboza Jr, 38-38)

Barboza asks his corner if he should apply more pressure. He is told yes so let's see if he picks up the pace and aggression. Barboza now showing a jab to the body and feints to the body which is helping him land scraping shots upstairs. Solid right hand to the body, followed by a right hook upstairs lands for Barboza. A counter from Catterall gets a right hook to the body in response from Barboza who adjusts well this round. Catterall catches Barboza with a counter combination in the opening seconds to grab his attention early. Barboza is the more active fighter early while Catterall seems content being patient.
