Jake Paul sensationally called out Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in the aftermath of his loss to Anthony Joshua, revealing a double jaw-break in the process.

'The Problem Child' made it six rounds with the former two-time heavyweight champion before a crunching right hook put him on the canvas for good.

A second professional defeat has seemingly not dampened Paul's enthusiasm for the sport however, with the American vowing to come back stronger.

Now, on social media, he has issued a further challenge to Alvarez, the former four-weight champion and ex-undisputed super-middleweight kingpin.

Paul's suggestion seems firmly in jest for now though, given that he also revealed he had suffered serious facial injuries iagainst the hard-hitting Joshua.

"Double broken jaw," he wrote on X, complete with an apparent radiograph of his mouth, highlighting the blows he took. "Give me Canelo in 10 days."

Paul mostly struggled against the more experienced Joshua throughout their contest on Friday in Miami, but also went deeper than many expected too.

Any return must wait for his injuries to heal, but having secured a bout with one modern favourite already, few would write off him drawing Canelo in as well.

Brutal injuries leave Paul unruffled

DAZN News correspondent Andrew Steel

Call it heart, or call it foolishness - there's plenty of words in-between to describe Jake Paul's decision to square up to Anthony Joshua in the first place.

But after going six rounds with the Briton and suffering the heaviest injuries of his professional career, 'The Problem Child' seems unruffled by his defeat.

A Canelo Alvarez call-out is par for the course with the star's big-talk approach to the boxing ring - and you wouldn't bet against the Mexican biting too.

Of course, Terence Crawford's sudden retirement has left the super-middleweight division at sea, and the former champion will want his belts back.

Like Joshua however, the prospect of some highly lucrative rounds with Paul cannot be undersold to any fighter - and the American still seems resolutely game.
