Joe Joyce's time at the business end of the heavyweight division looks to be over after he was beaten by Filip Hrgovic on points in Manchester.
The defeat means that Joyce has now lost four of his last five fights and it is unclear where the 2016 Olympic runner up can go as his losses continue to tally up.
Joyce appeared to be on the verge of big things just a couple of years ago after stopping Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, but his career is now in danger of being over after he was outlanded by Hrgovic.
The Croat puncher was also fighting with a point to prove after losing to Dubois last year and his accuracy throughout the bout was rewarded on the scorecards.
Hrgovic landed plenty of shots as Joyce walked forward and the damage he was causing was preferred over Joyce's pressure by the judges with all three giving the nod to the away fighter.
Scores were 98-92, 97-93, and 96-95 and those verdicts now mean that Joyce, and his team, have a huge decision to make.
