KSI-Tommy Fury, Logan Paul-Dillon Danis: The biggest feuds in Misfits history

DAZN
Till vs Rockhold - Saturday - Misfits on DAZN PPV

Misfits returns this weekend with former UFC fighters Darren Till and Luke Rockhold headlining the 22nd show by the crossover boxing promotion.

Till is no stranger to exchanging heated words with opponents, with the background of putting together celebrities and personalities from different walks of life leading to many clashes over the years.

Ahead of Saturday’s PPV, let's take a look at the biggest feuds in Misfits history.

Darren Till vs Tommy Fury

The headliner of this weekend’s event, Till was meant to be fighting Tommy Fury in January on Misfits 20. As is now seemingly customary for all fighters, Till and Fury exchanged words and threats, culminating in the former threatening to kick his opponent in the head if he was losing.

Perhaps spooked by Till’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) background, Fury walked away from the bout, posting on social media that he would no longer be fighting.

His post on Instagram read: "I can't believe I'm writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on 18 January 2025.

"For the one simple reason being that Darren has stated over and over that he does not want to abide by professional boxing rules and that if he is losing the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics.

"I am a professional boxer, I have been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I have wasted weeks in training camp."

At the time Till remarked: "When he pulled out, I don't think he informed either the promoters or my team. But he put an Instagram story up and that's how I found out, like everyone else.

“For what? Just because I was going to kick him in the head. He's just a dafty. He's just a big dafty.”

Till has continued to talk trash about the Furys, stating back in May: "I walked the Furys out of boxing, everyone should be thanking me first because they terrorised everyone in boxing for years. John’s been a nuisance for years, no one has been able to stop him, and little old Darren comes along and stops him in one press conference.”

KSI vs Tommy Fury

KSI and Tommy Fury have long been linked to each other, predominantly through their mutual dislike of Jake Paul.

Once Fury had defeated Paul in February 2023 and a rematch fell through, he turned his attention to Misfits Boxing. A staredown after KSI’s win over Joe Fournier on Misfits 7 indicated that a bout would take place between the two.

Months out from the fight, Fury's father, John, grabbed headlines for flipping over a table and almost inciting an all-out riot at the press conference announcing the fight.

So heated was the malice between the pair that it was decided for both fighters to be put in separate cages for their face-off to prevent a brawl before their bout.

Many will remember Fury’s father furiously trying to break down the screen that separated the two.

When Fury took a tight unanimous decision victory, winning 57-56 on all three scorecards, there was no making up, with KSI labelling the result as a ‘robbery’ and pledging to appeal.

His attempts to overturn the decision proved fruitless, with the appeal rejected.

Two years on from the fight, Fury has shown no signs of changing his mind about KSI. Just this month he told Cosmopolitan UK: "I'm not interested in what he's doing. Couldn't give a b***ocks."

Fury has also been quoted as stating he still “hates” his former rival, suggesting that bad blood remains between them.

Alex Stein - Mo Deen

Alex Stein and Mo Deen never came to blows inside the ring, with the former’s antics at the press conference for their fight leading to their bout being cancelled.

A right-wing political commentator on YouTube, Stein brought hot dogs with him ahead of the final face-off with Deen. He chucked the sausages at his opponent, exclaiming: “I brought you a little gift because I know you love hotdogs.”

Deen immediately leapt to his feet, with Stein goading his rival further by stating: “I know you love that. You love pork, right?”

As Deen is Muslim, Stein’s choice of food was clearly intended to offend his opponent. The fight that ensued between the pair led to the press conference stage being damaged, which in turn caused Misfits to cancel the bout.

Subsequently it was stated the hot dogs were not pork-based, but instead made from Turkey. After things had calmed down, Deen shared: “I'm feeling heartbroken because my fight is getting cancelled because of someone else's actions and I'm not getting the chance to smash this guy's face in.

“They found out it was not pork, it was chicken or whatever. So that's calm. As long as it wasn't (pork) it's not that deep.”

Deji – Swarmz

KSI is not the only member of his family to have feuded with another Misfits fighter. His younger brother, Deji Olatunji, would go on to have beef with a former opponent of KSI, rapper Swarmz.

Swarmz had lost to KSI on the very first Misfits card in 2022, before returning to winning ways with a first-round knockout of Ryan Taylor. Immediately after his fight, he was calling out Deji:  "Next fight I'm ready. Where's Deji? Where's King Kenny? All the respect, I'm a fair guy. Deji and Kenny are top of the game, top five. I can't wait for it to happen."

Deji replied via video on his YouTube channel, stating: “Swarmz was looking good, Swarmz was looking good. He called me out though, don’t know what that was all about.

“Right now, you’re doing ok, I don’t want to ruin that for you. I suggest you stay in your lane and stay with the scrubs, you’re not with the upper echelons.”

That didn’t stop Swarmz from pushing for the fight, the rapper releasing a track called ‘Execution’ as a diss towards his desired opponent. Eventually Swarmz got his way, with the duo meeting on Misfits 7.

In the final press conference for the card, the fighters continued their war of words, with Swarmz claiming that he was going to ‘kill’ Deji.

Ultimately, Deji took a comfortable unanimous decision victory.

But the beef continued beyond the pair’s fight, with Deji releasing a retaliatory diss track two months after his victory, recalling how he dominated the bout.

Logan Paul - Dillon Danis

Logan Paul and Dillon Danis have formed reputations for controversial actions and statements, so it is no surprise that the pair combined to create plenty of drama.

During the same launch press conference that saw John Fury flip a table, both Paul and Danis began their antics. Paul brought out a cake for Danis’ 30th birthday, with the icing depicting the latter being knocked out.

Danis went straight for the jugular, beginning a campaign of abuse directed towards Paul’s then-fiancée, Nina Agdal. Eventually Agdal would take out a restraining order on Danis, such was the intensity of his trolling.

Paul was not blameless either, bringing out television host Chris Hansen at a later press conference, stating that he was going to ‘Catch a Predator’, in reference to Hansen’s TV show.

Danis and Paul would come to blows after the former threw a microphone in the face of the latter. The fight itself was one-sided, with Paul cruising to what should have been a unanimous decision victory.

However, in the sixth round Danis employed an MMA technique, putting his opponent into a chokehold. Paul would win by disqualification, but only after a brawl between security and both fighters’ teams was calmed.
