After a number of postponements, Jai Opetaia will finally get his shot at the IBF cruiserweight title when he takes on Mairis Briedis this coming Saturday.
Undefeated in 21 fights as a professional, Opetaia will be Briedis' toughest test since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in 2018.
The pair were orignally set to meet on April 6, but this was cancelled after the Latvian champion contraced COVID-19 then the flu.
May 11 was made the new fight date as a result, but this was then cancelled after Opetaia suffered a rib injury.
Now with hopefully no more hiccups, the two men will finally meet on Saturday, July 2.
Here's everything you need to know about Briedis vs. Opetaia.
