Manny Pacquiao is still looking for a proverbial dance partner.

While a fight against Conor Benn has been teased, nothing has been confirmed for a possible bout between the men in 2024, and the 45-year-old is eager to step back into the ring.

The Filipino superstar has not fought a professional match since losing the WBA (Super) welterweight title to Yordenis Ugás in 2021, but Pacquiao performed in a Dec. 2022 exhibition bout against South Korean martial artist DK Yoo and has an on-again, off-again match against Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek still up in the air.

Pacquiao has expressed interest in taking on former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor in a boxing ring, but another MMA fighter-turned-boxer, Tyron Woodley, has arisen as a potential opponent.

However, Pacquiao's camp has been quick to throw cold water on any potential match-up against Woodley, citing the physical disparity between the two men.

"Tyron Woodley is about 180lbs, he's a great fighter but that may be a tad too big for Manny," Pacquiao's advisor, Sean Gibbons, told Betway. "I don't think anyone is interested in a Manny Pacquiao fight with Tyron Woodley.

"But if there is anyone to fight then it is Conor McGregor, let's go and make the fight but whether it can happen this year is too hard to say. He has a contract with the UFC so we have to respect that but you would have to ask Dana White if that fight could happen this year.

"This is Manny Pacquiao's farewell year in boxing but with Conor McGregor, Manny Pacquiao could wait until 2050 to have that fight. Manny Pacquiao could get off that couch and get some of that action.

"Manny has said this before, age is a number. He is still operating at the highest level of the sport."
