Omar Chavez, son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, will finally step in the ring with Misael Rodriguez this weekend as the main event of the card in San Luis Potosi.

The original clash was postponed after Chavez refused a second weigh-in and the fight was thrown out amid bickering from both corners. 

Chavez last fought in May, defeating Michi Munoz - his third victory in a row - while Rodriguez beat Ricardo Banuelos last June.
