Brown vs. Ducar: Exclusively on DAZN - Friday

Manchester's wrecking machine Pat Brown makes his return to the ring in his hometown this Friday live only at on DAZN.

After making his debut in March 2025, Brown has accumulated a five-fight knockout streak, yet to see past the fourth round and been nominated for The Ring's 2025 prospect of the year. The 26-year-old now looks to make yet another statement this week in his blossoming career, but is also prepared to go the distance if needs be.

Brown takes on an experienced Czech cruiserweight in Vasil Ducar. With 28 fights to his name the 36-year-old has found himself also on a five- fight win-streak, only one of which has seen the distance.

When asked about the step up in competition at his fight press conference live on DAZN, Brown said: "I understand people get excited and they want to fast track me but I’ve not gone past four rounds yet and I need to learn about being in deep waters

"I do believe the man to my left, he will do that, and it’s going to be a tough fight and I know what I’m in for."

"I definitely do want the rounds, because when you get to the top, you need that experience.

"It’s so important because there comes a point where power can only take you so far. Everyone’s going on that I’m this wrecking ball, but I do enjoy actually boxing and showing the technical side of thing.

I'm excited to show this on Friday because I know I’m going to have to do that against Vasil."

Special place in Brown's heart

Friday's bout will take place at Planet Ice, Altringham, the venue where Brown made his professional debut.

"Planet Ice is where I use to go ice skating as a kid, I wasn’t very good. It holds many memories and it has a very special place in my heart now, especially since the debut."

As Boxing fans know, the clash of styles is electric as both men bring their all every time they step in the squared circle with 19 knockouts in 26 victories between the pair. The question is, how big of a step up is Ducar for Brown? Is it too soon?

Brown had this to say about the clash of styles: "We’re both going to punch each other up, it’s simple, it’s boxing. You’ve got two hands, and you’re going at it, so that is how the fight is going to go with our styles.

"He isn't a runner, I’m not a runner and we’re just going to collide like two titans, so we’ll see who the last man is standing.

"If neither of us go down and we go the distance it’s a win, win, and I’ve had a good night of boxing."

Brown also boasts an impressive Olympic career competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and holding British heavyweight titles across the amateurs.

Standing as one of Britain's most anticipated prospects alongside the likes of Moses Itauma, fans are eager to see what he brings to the ring this Friday.
