Ryan Garcia had this to say about Devin Haney defeating Regis Prograis

Well before Devin Haney made his 140-pound debut against Regis Prograis on Saturday night, Ryan Garcia was already predicting that he and Haney would fight in 2024.

And after Haney delivered a unanimous decision shutout over Prograis to become the new WBC super lightweight world champion, Garcia took that prediction a step further.

"King Ry" took to his X account after the fight and vowed that he would defeat "The Dream."

It's not that Garcia wasn't impressed with Haney's performance - because he was. It's more so that Garcia believes that he has the tools to defeat Haney.

Haney and Garcia have entertained fighting before but such a bout has never come to fruition. Perhaps 2024 is the year for that to change.
