Sean Hemphill and Ty Mitchell traded words at Thursday's Misfits 22 - Ring of Thrones press conference, as the American warned his foe to "keep eating those cookies".
The pair meet in a super middleweight bout at Manchester's AO Arena on Saturday, with IBF-ranked star Hemphill looking to follow up his win over Mark Jeffers.
Mitchell has already taken two wins from two this year in Misfits to emerge as one of the promotion's most reliable fighters and drops to a lower weight for this bout.
Amid a heated exchange where he was asked if he would fall for the risk of facing the latter, Hemphill instead took aim at his opponent's unusual diet preparations for the clash.
"What trap, man?" he addressed. "We all fall for traps over here. We do this for real. Keep eating those cookies.
"He called me at the right time. I'm just happy to be back and I want to thank Misfits for having me here. He can't stop me.
"That's all you need to know, for real. It's levels. It's levels to this. Eat all the fries and cupcakes you can. I'm going to stop you."
Mitchell, who admitted that he did not need to diet for fights beforehand in an interview with DAZN, was seen eating fast food as he countered Hemphill's arguments.
The Derby fighter warned that the pressure is on his opponent, adding: "Mark Jeffers is the best person he's fought, he's the only good person he's fought.
"All the pressure is on you. You should win. I'm an old man, I've not boxed for years. If you get beat up by a 4-2 guy, your career's finished."
