Teofimo Lopez will look cement his credentials as one of the leading lights of American boxing when he faces off with Arnold Barboza Jr as part of a historic New York card, which will be broadcast exclusively on DAZN PPV.
The star, a former unified lightweight champion, has rebuilt his reputation as a two-weight dynamo over the past few years, racking up a string of impressive victories.
But he faces arguably the toughest test of his career since a defining win over Josh Taylor in the shape of Barboza Jr., the undefeated star who sprung a surprise to be here.
The latter unexpectedly toppled Jack Catterall to move into challenger position for the WBO crown - and he will hope that he can deliver another impressive night stateside.

Once feted as the future face of American boxing after his unified title success in 2020, Teofimo Lopez came crashing back to earth when he lost in 2021 to George Kambosos.
That defeat - the lone blemish on his record - left serious questions over his future at lightweight, but to his credit, the star has simply stepped up a division and rebuilt in style.
His five wins since - the most impressive of which was his split-decision win over Josh Taylor in 2023 - means he is looking to mount yet another defence of his WBO crown.
For many, that had been expected to be a bout with Jack Catterall, still considered one of the division's greats - but the latter did not do enough to stop Arnold Barboza Jr.
The latter's victory, away from home soil in Manchester in February, sent shockwaves through the division and teed up the veteran fighter for a shot at the world crown himself.
That has come sooner rather than later, with less than three months between dances - but Barboza will arrive with the bit firmly between his teeth as he chases success.
Having slapped his opponent in March during a promotional event, Lopez has sought to put the incident behind him, but stressed his opponent "crossed" a line.
"I come respectful," he said. "My whole thing is I’m always gonna come respectful. But he crossed that boundary, and we just gotta lay it right there."
Barboza conversely did not rise to any bait laid out by his rival, and fresh off victory over Jack Catterall, sought to promise another blockbuster performance instead.
“I’m very excited to share the ring with him," he added. "He’s an awesome fighter, one of the top at 140. But I’m an awesome fighter too, so it’s gonna be fireworks.”
