2025 is almost over, with less than two months until the new year arrives - and fight fans are already looking forward to a blockbuster 2026 slate.

From long-awaited grudge matches to feisty reunions, there will be no shortage of blockbuster action set to take place across the boxing world.

But one particular glamour class looks set to double down at the top of the tree, as the heavyweight division returns to deliver more title triumphs.

With only one fight for a major belt during 2025, hopes are high that there will be plenty more to enjoy in 2026 - but just when, who and where?

DAZN News looks at the likely dates, contenders and venues that could play host to one of the biggest fights in boxing over the coming months.

Who will contest the next heavyweight title fight?

Right now, the heavyweight division is currently in the second undisputed reign of the four-belt era, with Oleksandr Usyk holding all major titles.

The Ukrainian began his second tenure atop the tree in his only fight of 2025, a five-round victory over Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in July.

It is anticipated that he will defend all four straps against the WBO interim champion and mandatory challenger Fabio Wardley in his next fight.

The Briton, who is also WBA interim champion, earned his slot with an upset victory over Joseph Parker in October by eleventh-round stoppage.

When is the next heavyweight title fight?

Currently, there is no date set for the next heavyweight title fight in the division, but hopes are high that it will be slated for the first quarter.

Usyk will not have fought since victory over Dubois, spending close to nine months out of the ring by the time next March or April rolls around.

Originally, hopes had been high that the Ukrainian would have fought Parker in 2025, but cited injury to force an extension to the mandatory order.

That opened the door for Wardley to take the latter's place, with Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren now looking to secure a spring date.

Where will the next heavyweight title fight take place?

Currently, there is no venue set for the next heavyweight title fight in the division, but expecations are that it will take place in London or Riyadh.

The capital of the United Kingdom is no stranger to hosting title fights, with Wembley Stadium having played host to Usyk's last win over Dubois.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is also another option, fresh off the venue hosting the Chris Eubank Jr.-Conor Benn duology in 2025 to great acclaim.

Meanwhile, Usyk secured both of his title wins over Tyson Fury at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, and could return back to the Middle East too.
