Conor Benn’s performance against Regis Prograis has had had mixed reviews since last weekend with Benn going the distance against the former world champion .
Heading into the fight, rumours had surrounded the build-up claiming that Prograis was badly injured and that he was close to pulling out of the contest.
In the fight’s immediate aftermath, Prograis did confirm he was injured and he announced his retirement from the sport shortly after.
For Benn, his next move is still unknown, but he has been linked to several high-profile showdowns including lucrative battles against Ryan Garcia and Shakur Stevenson.
Feeding the fire for a potential fight with Garcia, Benn has already taken to social media to dismiss the Californian who recently became world champion by dominating Mario Barrios earlier this year.
A huge world title fight between Garcia and Benn would do major business and Benn has insulted his potential rival on X by mocking him for getting dropped by Luke Campbell.
Garcia climbed off the floor to stop Campbell with a brutal body shot in 2021 leading to the Hull man walking away from boxing.
In 2025, Campbell became the mayor of his home city, and he has not taken kindly to Benn using him to dismiss Garcia’s accomplishments.
“You’re insulting Garcia because I dropped him,” wrote Cambell on X.
"@ConorNigel you’re nowhere near my level. If I were to come out of retirement, you’d be a warm-up fight. @EddieHearn has done an unbelievable job promoting and protecting your career.”
