Arsenal are now four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday and once again it was a set-piece that decided the match for the Gunners.
The North London side have become reliant on set-pieces over the past few seasons under Mikel Arteta, and Sunday's match was no different.
Former Palace star Eberechi Eze slammed home the match-winner in the 39th minute after Declan Rice's free-kick was floated into the penalty area and nodded into Eze's path by Arsenal defender Gabriel.
That goal, Eze's first in the league as a Gunner since leaving Palace over the summer, was all Arteta's side needed as they rode their trademark stingy defence — which has allowed just a single shot on target over the team's last three Premier League matches — to a trademark "One-nil to the Arsenal" victory.
The result, coupled with losses this weekend from title challengers Manchester City and Liverpool, allowed Arsenal to increase their lead atop the standings.
"We're really pleased with the win and another clean sheet," Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard told Sky Sports immediately after the match. "We need to keep going.
"Lately it has been like that, we have to keep patience throughout the game because we know we can score anytime. It would have been nice if we had put the game to bed. We are excited as well.
"When we get a set-piece we know we can score. It's hard to put a finger on it but every season we learn more and more. We just want to win, we want to win every game."
