Brighton & Hove Albion got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The result comes a week after the Seagulls were drubbed 7-0 by Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler expressed pride in his side's ability to put their last match out of their minds and complete a comeback victory over the visiting Blues.

Things didn't start off brightly for Brighton on Saturday as goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen misplayed a Cole Palmer shot for an own goal, putting the visitors ahead just five minutes into the match. However, Georginio Rutter's 12th-minute header pulled the hosts level and a smooth finish by Kaoru Mitoma just before the hour mark propelled Brighton to the victory, which puts them into the fifth round of the competition.

"I am really proud of how we bounced back from a big loss," Hurzler told ITV. "I am proud of how they stuck together.

"It is very important not to overreact to setbacks. I stayed calm. We analysed the reasons [and reacted accordingly]."
