Chelsea face Fluminense tonight aiming to overcome the Brazilian side and reach the FIFA Club World Cup final against PSG or Real Madrid.

Here, DAZN News highlights what to look out for at the MetLife Stadium as Enzo Maresca’s men bid to reach Sunday’s title decider.

Huge chance to progress to the final

Chelsea are enjoying something of a renaissance under Enzo Maresca – and winning the Club World Cup would see it reach a glorious crescendo.

But first things first and right now they cannot look any further than trying to overcome Fluminense tonight.

Maresca has impressed in the Chelsea hot-seat after winning the Conference League and qualifying for the Champions League qualification last season.

Now they are 90 minutes away from a potential mouthwatering showdown with European champions Paris St-Germain or Real Madrid.

Although Liam Delap is suspended, Chelsea will fancy their chances of reaching Sunday’s final… and topping up their prize money again.

The Blues have already trousered around £60 million for reaching the semi-finals.

Cole Palmer ready to take centre stage again

The England midfielder is one of the most talented players of his generation and has shown that on many occasions for club and country since joining Chelsea two summers ago.

The Mancunian maestro showed his class in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Palmeiras in the Club World Cup quarter-final.

It was only his second goal in 28 games and Palmer admitted afterwards he has struggled to find his best form in recent months.

Scoring such an important goal, though, suggested the 24-year-old is rediscovering his mojo just when Chelsea need it the most.

After netting against Palmeiras, Palmer ran substitute Tosin Adarabioyo during his goal celebration, Palmer said: “That's my boy.

“Obviously, I've had a difficult time these past whatever months on and off the pitch, but he's always been there for me and he's helped me a lot. So, yeah, I just thought I'd go over to him.”

Joao Pedro hoping to fire

The Brazilian last week became the 18th forward to sign for Chelsea in just over three years under their current owners.

He joined from Brighton in a deal worth £60m, taking their total spending on attackers in that period to £560 million.

Pedro, who had been on a beach in Brazil, made his bow in the 2-1 win over Palmeiras and was unlucky not to score.

With Liam Delap suspended against Fluminense, it is time for Pedro to shine again – and this time get amongst the goals.

Let’s get ready to rumble!

Legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer is expected to introduce the starting line-ups for Chelsea and Fluminense as the two sides prepare to face off in tonight’s semi-final.

Buffer, famous for his iconic 'Let’s get ready to rumble' catchphrase, is set to lend his voice to both the semi-finals and final of the tournament.

That should add to the excitement and fervour of the occasions as the biggest and most lucrative Club World Cup gears up for its finale this week.
