Gonzalo Garcia scored a superb 54th-minute winner for Real Madrid as they beat Juventus 1-0 to progress into the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup.

It was a delightful effort from the striker who rose to connect with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross and plant a firm header into the net.

Moreover, it was no less than Xabi Alonso’s men deserved after dominating the second half and making their class pay.

Los Blancos will now meet Monterrey or Borussia Dortmund in the last eight of the competition.
