It's the first weekend in 2026 for Serie A, with a title race that just keeps getting tighter. There are now just four points separating the top five in the league, with Inter still clinging on to a slender lead.
With all five teams in action this weekend, what new twists and turns will it bring at the top end of the table?
Here's the full schedule for Matchday 18 of the Serie A season, plus how to watch all the action live on DAZN.
Napoli's title defence is just about going to plan, with the champions just two points off the top at the turn of the year, but all of their wobbles this season have come away from home, and this weekend they face a trip to Lazio and a familiar face in the home dugout.
Mauricio Sarri's impressive managerial CV includes a well-remembered stint in Naples from 2015-18, where he led his hometown club to two second-place finishes and arguably laid some of the groundwork for their subsequent title victories.
Now, he's in charge of a Lazio side, who have struggled for consistency this season, but have shown they can be a match for anyone - including his old side. Could there be a title twist in the Italian capital?
Another manager also faces his former club on Matchday 18, and there probably won't be a warmer reception for an ex-manager this season than the one Gian Piero Gasperini should get when he brings his side back to his old stomping ground of Atalanta.
Gasperini was in charge in Bergamo for almost a decade, where he led the club to the Champions League for the first time and lifted the Europa League in 2024.
Now, he's back with Roma, trying to keep up the pace in the title race, but his old side won't make it easy as they look to continue their upward trajectory under Rafelle Palladino.
Juventus' recent form has seen them catapulted into the title mix, and they are now just four points off leaders Inter.
Luciano Spalletti's side have won three games on the spin, and will fancy their chances of making it a fourth when they entertain Lecce, who are struggling at the other end of the table.
If Juve can keep up this kind of form, then 2026 could be a very good year for the Old Lady.
