With a reduced schedule of National League games this weekend, York City have the chance to go top of the pile when they face Sutton United.
Neither side has played a game in 2026 after a host of fifth-tier fixtures were postponed last Saturday, meaning that Carlisle United and Forest Green Rovers leapfrogged the Minstermen.
Stuart Maynard's side occupy fourth position but only sit 3 points behind the league leaders with 2 games in hand on Mark Hughes' men. York are unbeaten in their last thirteen league games and must maintain that run if they want a shot at automatic promotion.
As for Sutton, they have slipped into the relegation zone after a run of 3 matches without a win. However, they are only in the drop zone on goal difference and have games in hand on the teams around them.
