AEW heads to New York for its next big PPV at the end of this month, with Double or Nothing - a show you can watch live on DAZN.

The card is headlined by the AEW World Championship match between Derby Allin and MJF, where the former champ has put his hair on the line against Allin's title.

Also on the card are the latest bouts in the Owen Hart Foundational Tournament, as well as a Stadium Stampede match, where Chris Jericho will lead a team across the Louis Armstrong Stadium to battle a squad led by Ricochet.

It's a line-up full of what AEW is all about, and a product that wrestling icon Paul Wight is championing for fans to watch.

Speaking exclusively to DAZN News during his UK visit to promote AEW's return to London later this year, the multi-time world champion, who's still an active roster member with the company, spoke emphatically about what he believes is the most authentic and affordable product around - with a sly nod to his former employers who can't offer the same thing.

"You're going to get more bang for your buck, I believe, with AEW," Wight said.

"You're going to get more of an authentic product. When an AEW talent is cutting a promo, that's the AEW talent speaking from the heart, finding their character, delivering their message. It's not some guy in the back with a tie writing a promo for you.

"To me, I really appreciate the guts to that. Is it risky? Sure. It's tough when you have to find that character and build it on your own.

"But I think in the long run, that builds better talent. I think that's what we're accomplishing. AEW is putting out a real, authentic product that the fans can support and the fans can come out and see because it's also affordable."

Wight may have made his name in the 1990s, but the 54-year-old is about to hang up his boots just yet. The larger-than-life athlete is just the profile that many have claimed there isn't enough of in AEW, with the company lacking the classic 'big man' of the past.

However, Wight tends to disagree with that notion and has earmarked Satnam Singh as someone who could make a name for himself in AEW, and has offered to help him progress - even as a tag team partner.

Adding, "We have some pretty big guys in wrestling. We have a great giant in Satnam Singh in AEW. He's a great athlete.

"He's a good guy. He needs to get more reps in. I think that's the only thing that's hurting Satem now.

"He just needs to wrestle more and get more reps in. I would love to get back in the ring and help Satnam. I would love to be a tag partner.

"I could be in the corner and help him in his ring and help him with some timing on some things and just how to approach things and some attitude on things.

"That's a project I have in my mind to help Satnam. He's a big boy. He's strong. He's also a good kid. He's super kind."
