Undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue is set for the fight capital of the world this year, with reports suggesting the star will contest a bout in Las Vegas on June 14.

'The Monster' will return to the United States for the first time since 2021, as part of a fight card, according to reports from The Ring after a prolonged period in his native Japan.

Inoue solidified his status as one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters last month when he stopped late replacement Ye Joon Kim in the fourth round of their contest in Tokyo

Following the win, Inoue revealed his plans to fight in Las Vegas and then Saudi Arabia before the end of the year

When it comes to who Inoue will be facing in his return to Vegas, Mexico's Alan Picasso is the frontrunner

The 24-year-old is undefeated in his 32 fights as a professional, and last fought in December when he produced a third round stoppage against Yehison Cuello.

If Inoue is successful against Picasso, there will likely be calls for the Japanese fighter to face Murodjon Akhmadaliev who is the mandatory challenger for Inoue's WBA super bantamweight title.
