Key NHL Games To Watch For The Week Of January 12

Edmonton Oilers @ Chicago Blackhawks: Monday, January 12/Tuesday, January 13 (8:30pm ET/1:30am GMT/3:30am CEST)

Connor McDavid battling Connor Bedard. Sign me up for any day of the week to watch these two lock horns. The Oilers are sitting in good standing with 51 points and in second place in the Pacific Division. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks have gotten themselves back into the playoff race by going 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.

Detroit Red Wings @ Boston Bruins: Tuesday, January 13/Wednesday, January 14 (7:30pm ET/12:30am GMT/2:30am CEST)

Two of the Original Six teams are locking horns in Beantown.

The Red Wings are hot. They sit on top of the Atlantic Division, won three games in a row, and 14 of their last 20 (14-4-2). 

The Bruins are also on a bit of a roll, having won three consecutive games, including back-to-back wins over the weekend against the Rangers and Penguins, respectively.

Philadelphia Flyers @ Pittsburgh Penguins: Thursday, January 15/Friday, January 16 (7pm ET/Midnight GMT/2am CEST)

Interstate rivals who are separated by one point in the closely contested Metropolitan Division. They nearly brawled before their first meeting in October. Hopefully, tempers stay in check this time as they battle towards the postseason.
