Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Kennan Allen made history on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, which can be seen on NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excl. US and China), when he became the fastest player to garner 1,000 career receptions.
The record breaking reception occurred in the second quarter when Allen caught a four-yard pass from quarterback Justin Herbert. Allen is the 16th player in NFL history with 1,000 receptions. The historic feat was done in 159 games. The old record had been held by Marvin Harrison, who did it in 167 games.
The Chargers (3-1) are looking to rebound on Sunday from their upset loss in Week 4 to the New York Giants. Currently, the Chargers are down 20-10 to the Commanders in the third quarter.
