If Dmitry Bivol is to exact revenge on Artur Beterbiev this weekend, he's going to have to put together a full 12 rounds of boxing excellence, according to previous Beterbiev opponent Anthony Yarde.

Bivol and Beterbiev's rematch of their October 2024 undisputed world light heavyweight championship classic headlines Saturday's massive The Last Crescendo fight card, with Bivol looking to reverse his fortunes after losing the first bout by majority decision.

Many observers had Bivol winning the first fight, but Yarde isn't among them.

However, the British light heavyweight noted that the first Beterbiev vs Bivol clash was "very, very close" and the rematch could go down the same path.

"The first fight [was] extremely close, a real chess match," Yarde told DAZN's Ade Oladipo during Friday's official weigh-ins. "But the next fight I think is going to be even more exciting, because I think Bivol's going to have a point to prove."

Yarde explained that Bivol will need to rely on his boxing IQ during Saturday's fight, aiming to go the distance once again rather than looking for a stoppage.

"I just think, with Bivol, he's powerful but he hasn't been known for having a knockout punch and I feel like, even when I fought Beterbiev [in 2023], I put him on his back foot a lot because I can hit," Yarde said.

"Bivol is a spectacular boxer and his fundamentals are almost perfect, and the question is, 'can he box and move for 12 rounds instead of nine like he did last time?'"
