Conor Benn has opened up on his emotions after Chris Eubank Jr. slapped him with an egg during their face-off at a press conference, admitting he was surprised by the act.
The pair were involved in a physical altercation ahead of their bout at The Ring's Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26, live on DAZN.
Having conducted a press conference at Manchester Central Convention Complex, Eubank Jr. struck Benn to spark a fracas where the latter had to be held back by security.
Now, the latter has spoken about the event, lambasting his rival for stepping across an unspoken code and admitting he would have returned in kind if given the chance there.
"He's getting ironed out regardless [of the egg incident]," he told DAZN Face-Off. "However it comes, however it gets delivered, he's going to be eating canvas.

"I think he's an idiot. I think he's arrogant. He's not my cup of tea in the slightest. I thought it was glass. I thought he hit me with glass. He would have been rendered unconcious.
"I would have stomped on his head [if there was no security]. I would have drop-kicked his head, and I would have lashed straight into him. Of course [it surprised me].
"It is out of character for him. I know I am a fiery individual, but I wouldn't go as far as to putting my hands physically on somebody. I think that's crossing the line.
"I would never raise my fist to someone. A little push and a shove is alright, a little tussle, no problem. Putting your hands on somebody is very different.
"I've never done that in my career. If security wasn't there, and there wasn't five men holding me back, I would have had my hands around his neck."
