Dave Allen is wary of Johnny Fisher in their upcoming rematch, but admits he still expects to be victorious when the pair cross paths at London's Copper Box Arena.

The two met in Riyadh last December, where Fisher - a heavy pre-fight favourite - edged a split-decision win to see off the veteran fighter at the Kingdom Arena.

That has paved the way for a second dance between the two , set to take place on Saturday May 17 live on DAZN , where Allen will bid to gain his revenge.

But ahead of the bout, he insists he is not underestimating the prospects of the younger man, pointing to a famed two-bout battle that featured a former world champion.

"It's like Tyson Fury versus John McDermott," he said . "Everybody though McDermott won the first fight, and then Tyson came back and stopped him [in the rematch].

"Young kids take a lot from first fights and they improve in the second. I just don't think I'm an old man yet. I think I've got loads left in the locker.

"I fully expect to win, but I know it's not going to be easy. Me and Johnny could box ten times, and I think it would be ten good fights, close fights.

"I'm not a superstar, but I don't think this fella is, at least not yet. We're going to have another good fight, another fight-of-the-year candidate. It will be a hell of a fight."

Allen still disagrees with the verdict from the judges in the first fight, but he admits that Fisher did enough to push the fight to the limit and force a decision. He is now eager to put the rematch beyond doubt.

"I watched it back, and I thought I'd won the fight, but the fella hung in there for ten and gave himself the chance to get the decision, which he got," he said. "We'll do it again."
