Promoter Eddie Hearn believes there is only one fight he wants next for Anthony Joshua, and that's for the world heavyweight title.
Hearn was speaking ahead of Saturday's Last Crescendo event, which will be broadcast live on DAZN PPV, and Joshua will no doubt have a keen eye on one particular contest.
This being the IBF heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker which will precede the undisputed light heavyweight title rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
Dubois made a successful defence of the IBF belt against Joshua in September, producing a fifth round knockout win at a sold out Wembley Stadium.
'Dynamite' will be hoping a victory over Parker can land him a shot at unified champion Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed title.
However, Hearn is hoping he can disrupt these plans as he begins to plot Joshua's next move.
"Next week we’ll start discussions about what might be next," Hearn told Boxing News.
"Maybe, we don’t know, Parker will have a rematch clause if he wins, is there a mandatory? I have no idea.
"The preference will always be to fight for the world heavyweight title."
