It has now been made official - there will be a winner when Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis collide on November 14.
At a press conference in New York to publicise the event, Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Paul’s business partner and co-founder of MVP, finally confirmed the rules for the bout when speaking to the media that had gathered to hear what the fighters and organisers had to say.
Paul heads into the contest on the back of a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr this past summer , but for Davis, he has a point to prove after being held to a controversial draw by Lamont Roach earlier this year .
The size difference was on display when both fighters came face to face on the stage, but Davis will be hoping he can make his extra experience tell when the first bell sounds.
“There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed, and the commission has approved,” revealed Bidarian when speaking to the press in attendance.
“[There will be] a maximum weight of 195 pounds for this exhibition. The fight will be contested over 10, three-minute rounds, and when Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.
“Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there's a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.”
