Sebastian Fundora makes his first defence of the WBO and WBC junior lightweight titles when he faces Chordale Booker on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) returns to the ring nearly a year since his last fight, a March 2023 split decision victory over then-WBO champion Tim Tszyu. The 27-year-old seemed close to following up that fight with a bout against former unified champion Errol Spence Jr., but that match-up was not in the cards.
Instead he faces Booker (23-1-0, 11 KOs), a 33-year-old who steps into his first world title bout. Booker was last seen taking on Brian Damian Chaves in June 2024, when he stopped Chaves in the third round.
