Turki Alalshikh suggests new opponent for Jake Paul after Canelo Alvarez fight cancellation
His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has put forward a new opponent for Jake Paul to face after failing to land a fight with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
It was announced on Friday by Alalshikh and Riyadh Season that Alvarez had signed a four-fight deal aligning another pound-for-pound star with one of boxing's biggest promoters.
This news quickly followed rumours of a deal being struck for Alvarez to face Paul in May, a bout which would have divided the boxing world.
Speaking to ESPN, Alalshikh put forward YouTube star Mr Beast to be Paul's next opponent and even suggested creating a new title for the bout.
"I have good advice for them. Let them bring Mr Beast and we can sanction it with Disney for the belt of YouTube," Alalshikh said.
"Everyone will subscribe and watch it.”
Paul's last outing inside the ring came in November when he faced boxing legend Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. It was a fight which Paul ended up winning by unanimous decision.
