Ousmane Dembélé claimed his first Ballon d'Or as the top footballers in the world were crowned in a ceremony on Monday in Paris.

The 28-year-old is coming off a career-defining season with Paris Saint-Germain, who he helped lead to their first Champions League title earlier this year. Dembélé scored eight goals in 15 Champions League appearances for PSG and was named player of the tournament, and he also spearheaded the Parisians to the Ligue 1 title as the league's top goal scorer and top player.

Dembélé was also part of the PSG team that were runners-up at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. On the international side, Dembélé helped France claim third place in the UEFA Nations League.

Finishing behind Dembélé in Ballon d'Or voting was Barcelona's teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who did not leave the ceremony empty-handed as he was named the men's Kopa Trophy winner.

Yamal is a back-to-back recipient, having also been named the best men's player under the age of 21 at last year's ceremony.

Yamal wasn't the only repeat winner on the men's side on Monday, as Gianluigi Donnarumma was named the men's Yashin Trophy winner as best goalkeeper. Now with Manchester City, the Italian earned the 2025 award thanks to his play at PSG and adds it to his 2021 award won following his final season with AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Aitana Bonmati was named the Ballon d'Or Féminin recipient for the third time in her career, after winning the award in 2023 and 2024. The 27-year-old midfielder led Barcelona to a sixth straight Liga F title, scoring 12 times in the league and 15 goals across all competitions.

Internationally, Bonmati was part of the Spain side that finished runners-up at the UEFA Women's Euro 2025, where she was named player of the tournament.
