Agit Kabayel wants a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, as long as he gets past Damian Knyba this weekend.
After three big wins in Riyadh, Kabayel makes his big homecoming when he takes on Knyba at a sold out Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen on Saturday, live on DAZN.
The 33-year-old German is now the WBC interim title holder and he knows another victory would increase the pressure on Usyk, who is the full champion.
In an exclusive interview with DAZN, Kabayel said: “I think Usyk is the best fight for me.
“I think also for the fans. We have so many Ukraine people in Germany, it [would] easily sell out tickets in one week.
“We can go to the biggest stadium in Germany. I have a big community also here, and why not?
“I think for the fans, this is the biggest matchup right now.
“First I want Damian, and after we can talk.”
January starts with a heavyweight bang as Agit Kabayel takes the next steps towards a world title shot as he face Damian Knyba this Saturday, January 10, exclusively on DAZN Watch with a subscription, monthly and annual options available.
