Chris Eubank Jr has admitted that he "underestimated" Conor Benn after their epic 12-round battle at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.
The pair met in a huge grudge match in the third chapter of the Eubank-Benn rivalry which once again captured the imaginations of British fight fans.
Flanked by his father Chris Eubank Sr, who arrived in North London to the surprise of the boxing world, Eubank Jr and Benn played a thrilling contest which had everything.
With punches landing aplenty, it was a feat in itself to see both men standing come the final bell, and in the end it was Eubank Jr who would triumph by unanimous decision.
Speaking to DAZN's Jamie Ward after the official result was declared, Eubank Jr gave unlikely praise to Benn who was distraught after finding out the result.
"Everything surprised me, I didn’t know what he had in him," Eubank Jr said.
"I really didn’t, I thought I would break him early, I underestimated him. I didn’t train for a fight like that, I didn’t know he had that in him.
"He’s never shown that, but then again, he’s never had to show it, he had to show it tonight and so did I."
The loss to Eubank Jr was Benn's first defeat as professional in his 24-fight career whilst the former now boasts a 35-3 record with 25 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
