Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn are now on excellent terms, but does the rivalry between the pair still exist?
For years, the pair had countless verbal exchanges in the battle to be the best promoter in Britain as they each delivered excellent shows and built many big names.
Opposing each other on networks and inside the ring on a few occasions, the battle between Matchroom and Queensberry was as vicious as anything that took place inside the ring.
In recent times though, the feud has simmered and with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh encouraging the pair to work together, boxing has benefited greatly.
With both promoters now staging their shows on DAZN, the home of boxing, the chance for more crossover fights is right in front of Warren and Hearn and the opportunities appear endless.
Despite the friendliness that now exists, the competitive nature still runs deep in both men and they have insisted that the rivalry is very much alive.
“It’s just the beginning. It’s the continuation,” said Warren when speaking to Darren Barker on Ariel x Ade: The Boxing Show.
“I like to feel that we’re friends, but the rivalry is there, and we all want to be the best. We’re competitive and we want to make the matches. It’s a brilliant time for boxing.
Hearn added, “We must try and make sure our shows are better than Queensberry’s. Although we’re friendly now, that will never leave.
“We want the best content on DAZN.”
