Eddie Hearn believes that Skye Nicolson will receive an opportunity to grab revenge against Tiara Brown after losing her world title this past weekend

Australia’s Nicolson was performing in front of her home crowd against Brown, but she was unable to prevent her frequent attacks as she lost on the scorecards.

Nicolson had been a huge favourite going into the bout and although she did manage to demonstrate her qualities on some occasions, it was on the inside where the fight was won for Brown

The tough American had promised throughout the build-up that she would bring the fight to Nicolson , and she delivered on her word as she was on the attack for vast portions of the contest.

At the end of ten rounds, the scores were split, but it was Brown who two of the three judges preferred, and a new champion was crowned.

Nicolson’s first defeat will obviously be a hard one to take as the show was intended to celenebrate her homecoming, but a chance to settle the series could come soon enough.

Hearn, who has played his part in guiding Nicolson to this point in her career, has given his opinion on what should come next for his fighter.

"For sure [we want the rematch], the WBC will make it anyway, but we've got to get it right,” said Hearn when speaking to The Ring

“You can't just jump back into a rematch and get beat again or perform like that again, you've got to perform much better, whether that's to go and rebuild...have a fight or two, then go into the rematch maybe, but of course Skye's reaction will be to run it back immediately.

"She can box much better than that, if she boxed a little better, she would've won, so a lot to take but tonight is Tiara Brown's night, she's worked her whole life for this moment, got to give her the credit as she went in there and won, I know Skye will be back stronger."
