Frank Warren has hailed a blockbuster era for British heavyweight boxing, as the Queensberry Promotions boss prepares to take his stable to DAZN this year.

The top division in the sport currently finds itself littered with names from the United Kingdom, including IBF title holder Daniel Dubois and ex-two-time champion Anthony Joshua.

Throw in other burgeoning stars such as Moses Itauma, Lawrence Okolie and Fabio Wardley, as well as veteran performers like Derek Chisora, and it appears to be in rude health.

Now Warren has expanded upon the current cream of the crop, in contrast to his early days within the sport, and hailed the domestic growth of the division to a global level.

"This heavyweight scene, we've invested heavily in it, and we're now moving to a new platform in April," he told The Stomping Ground.

"When I started out in boxing, we had some really great heavyweights in the United Kingdom, but they didn't win titles.

"Now, we're blessed with them. Take [Oleksandr] Usyk out of the picture, and we're the bosses. Usyk has got to fight our guys because they're all in great positions.

"They're number one [contenders] or they are mandatory [challengers]. It's a great time for British heavyweight boxing."

Warren will have high hopes for a successful 2025 with his slate of big hitters, as questions continue to rumble over Usyk's future after another win over Tyson Fury.

The Ukrainian had been mooted to return to cruiserweight at one juncture, but may wait to settle a rematch with Dubois if the IBF champion beats Joseph Parker this month.
